Cerulean is a boutique recruitment platform focused exclusively on the world of luxury fashion. With a discerning eye for talent and deep industry experience, the team at Cerulean connects high-performing professionals with some of the most respected fashion houses in the world. As the brand launched, they partnered with us to define a strategy, identity, and digital presence that would match the quiet confidence and credibility of their offering. We developed a brand that’s as curated as the talent Cerulean represents. Our strategy focused on positioning Cerulean as both approachable and aspirational—balancing industry expertise with understated elegance. The visual identity pairs a minimalist serif wordmark with a subtle, atmospheric palette and editorial-inspired layouts. Together, these elements communicate refinement without excess, and trust without pretense. On the website, we created a user experience that mirrors the brand’s values: clean, purposeful, and designed to let the work speak for itself.

Logo

The Cerulean logo is a monogram-style crest that blends the letters C and J into a singular, refined mark. Set within an ellipse. The monogram presents hand gestures, a nod to traditional maker’s marks, bringing a sense of craftsmanship and human touch. Paired with a custom wordmark inspired by Neue World from Pangram Pangram, the result is a symbol that quietly bridges legacy and contemporary expression. It is as much an emblem of trust as it is a reflection of the hands that shape the industry.

Visual Identity

The Cerulean identity system is an exercise in restraint and clarity, drawing equally from the past and the present. Quattrocento Serif and Sans were chosen for their classical proportions and modern legibility—typographic siblings that lend both gravitas and ease. The palette unfolds in soft, organic tones, evoking natural materials and unhurried elegance. Across the system, a painterly image treatment introduces texture and tactility, while the Cerulean Ellipse recurs as a visual vessel—framing content like a curator frames a work of art, guiding attention without distraction.

In bringing the Cerulean brand to life online, we focused on building a digital experience that feels as refined and intentional as the identity itself. Designed within a flexible Tailwind CSS framework, the site is built to scale, adapting seamlessly across screen sizes while maintaining clarity and consistency. The visual system translates effortlessly into the digital space, with soft tones, elegant typography, and subtle structural gestures creating a user experience that is both polished and purposeful, designed to support discovery, navigation, and long-term growth.
